![]() Wouldn’t it be fun to rewrite these and create training videos based around how an organisation might use these applications in the real world? Initially, these were very dry in content, very factual, and well, boring. And we sold SHEDLOADS of ‘em, mainly to corporate types at $2K a set for Office. The gear used was Panasonic M5(?) based – tape of course, no digital back then – and final output was to VHS videotape. (We also did the training videos for AutoCAD and Filemaker Plus, plus a couple of medically based ones I would rather forget thank you!) Way back when, I worked as a contractor for a Perth company called Computer Television, and this job entailed writing scripts and directing educational / training films written around the use of Microsoft products, specifically Windows and Office. I just downloaded it for my main PC and I wasn’t asked for a credit card or other details so it may well be free by now. If you have a need for a robust teleprompter that supports native Word files, go and have a look at it. And it appears to work perfectly under Windows 11. ![]() And yes indeed it is in the Windows Store. I recently dug out the ol’ Surface for another project and was reminded of Teleprompter Pro and wondered if it was till around. At the time, I was creating tutorials for Sony’s Vegas Creative Software division (now owned by German company MAGIX) and it was a perfect fit for my Windows Surface.And at USD$8.99 it was cheap! When I downloaded it, frankly for that price I didn’t expect too much, but was then blown away by its capability! Back in 2019 I discovered a neat piece of software called Teleprompter Pro.
